Athletic Director/Development

Biography: Mr. Breden brings to the the table 38 years of global marketing and business experience working with Procter and Gamble. Mr Breden is currently a board member on Arkansas Athletes Outreach and is a past board member for the St. Joseph Core Team. With his vast knowledge of organization and motivation in the business area, Mr. Breden, now retired, is volunteering for OCA in Strategy Planning, Athletics and Development. For the past year, he has served as president of the governing board of OCA.

Alesia Schaefer

Marketing Director/Admissions

Biography: Mrs. Schaefer has lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 24 years and currently works as a reporter for the Arkansas Catholic Diocesan Newspaper. Before moving to NWA, Mrs. Schaefer lived in the Rio Grande Valley and served as communications coordinator at an environmental firm in Harlingen, Texas. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter and community editor for two newspapers in Ohio. Mrs. Schaefer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hendrix College and is working part-time at OCA in Marketing and Communications.

Registrar/Development

Biography: Mrs. Shields is the first smiling face every student and parent sees upon entering the doors at OCA. Shields received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Adminstration from St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame and brings almost 20 years of Advertising and Brand Marketing experience with her at OCA. Those skills will serve Mrs. Shields well at Ozark Catholic as the Registrar. Her love of the dynamic school environment and fluency in organization and efficiency will prove invaluable to OCA in the foundational years.

Business and Human Resources Manager

Biography: Working as an adjunct graduate Business Professor at John Brown University has prepared Dr. Suan Thornton for serving in another position in the academic world, one at OCA. With her addition 30 years of corporate experience, Dr. Thornton is well qualified to meet the needs of the school as both Business and Human Resources Director. Bilingual in Spanish and English, Dr. Thornton also aids in facilitating important communication between parents and students.
